PARIS, March 8 (Reuters) - French luxury house Hermès presented a collection of sleek leather ensembles in vibrant greens and earthy tones on Saturday, with models walking a dirt runway at Paris Fashion Week.

Creative director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski's Fall/Winter 2025/2026 collection featured structured leather jackets and coats in a striking lime green, paired with matching turtlenecks and trousers, creating a bold monochromatic look that dominated the show.

The collection, which fashion critics described as "confident" and "refined," also included butter-soft leather trench coats, precisely tailored suits, and the house's signature equestrian-inspired accessories.

"This season is about embracing color with confidence while maintaining the craftsmanship and quality that defines Hermès," Vanhee-Cybulski told Reuters backstage after the show. "The green represents a fresh energy and optimism."

The unusual runway—covered in dark soil rather than the typical glossy catwalk—provided a dramatic contrast to the polished luxury of the clothing, a juxtaposition that Vanhee-Cybulski said was intentional.

"We wanted to ground these pieces in something elemental, to remind us of the natural origins of our materials and the earthiness that balances luxury," she explained.

Celebrity attendees included actresses Emma Stone and Cate Blanchett, both longtime supporters of the brand, who were spotted in the front row alongside K-pop star Jennie Kim and French actress Isabelle Huppert.

The show comes as Hermès continues to report strong financial results despite economic uncertainty, with the brand's focus on craftsmanship and limited production helping to maintain its exclusive appeal among luxury consumers.

Paris Fashion Week runs through March 12, featuring presentations from major French houses including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Saint Laurent.
