PARIS, March 7 (Reuters) - British designer Victoria Beckham presented a collection featuring distinctive curled hems and collars at Paris Fashion Week on Friday, continuing her evolution as a serious fashion contender on the global stage.

The Fall/Winter 2025/2026 collection showcased Beckham's signature tailoring with a new twist: edges of coats, jackets, and dresses were finished with subtle curls and waves, creating a feminine yet structured silhouette that critics described as "architectural" and "refined."

"This collection is about finding strength in softness," Beckham told Reuters after the show. "I wanted to create pieces that feel protective but also have movement and fluidity."

The color palette was predominantly dark—navy, charcoal, and black—punctuated with moments of burgundy and forest green. Fabrics ranged from heavy wool to delicate silk, with Beckham's characteristic attention to texture evident throughout.

The show, held in a historic building in central Paris, drew a star-studded front row including Beckham's husband, former footballer David Beckham, and their children, alongside celebrities Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell, and Eva Longoria.

Fashion critics noted that the collection represented a confident step forward for the designer, who began her fashion career in 2008 with a small presentation in New York before gradually building her brand and moving her runway shows to London and then Paris in 2022.

"What's impressive about Beckham's evolution is how she's developed a clear design language that feels both personal and commercially viable," said fashion journalist Claire Mathews. "The curled details we saw today will likely become a recognizable signature."

The collection also included a new range of handbags and an expanded footwear line, signaling Beckham's ambitions to grow her accessories business, a crucial revenue driver for luxury fashion brands.

Paris Fashion Week continues through March 12, featuring presentations from major fashion houses including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Hermès.
